How can I tell if I'm getting new or old Colossus parts...

Postby Smaug on Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:02 am

...when ordering online?

I've read that the plastics, in particular, are improved since the 2013 era GST-E to the modern day Colossus. But when I go to the new U.S. distributor's online shop, the parts still say GST-E. I want to make sure I'm not getting the brittle old plastics, but the improved new ones.

Is "Colossus" just the name for the U.S. market?

What are all the differences between New and old?

Correct, the Colossus is for USA market only, however, the only differences are the Body and Savox Servo. Everything else are the same. Hence, all plastic parts are the same high quality units and are interchangeable.

When we update a design, we pretty much throw away all old units, hence, you dont have to worry about getting old generation products.

Would you omind double-checking that with engineering? My buddies on the Colossus thread at ultimaterc forums who have both the old and new says the new plastics are much improved (stronger) than the original GST-E plastics. More than one person has made that comment.
